Welcome to the Grand Canyon. Prepare to make a 1800 foot drop in elevation in around three miles, remember every step down has to be regained on the hike out.

This site  called Sprit Shelter (Shamans Gallery) is a 6.5 x 60 foot southwest facing rock shelter. It appears to be a combination of  Barrier Canyon style and Pecos River style.  Mary Allan the woman that took my friends (the people who gave me a map) to the site calls it Grand Canyon Polychrome style. While Barrier Canyon figures are spaced out and look like they are in a parade. The figures at this site are all bunched together like the figures in the Pecos River style. The Barrier Canyon sites I have visited are not as colorful as this but the Pecos river are. I notice heads with dots or nubs in B C sites like the some of the  heads at this site.

The anthropomorps have detail. Many figures have narrow shoulders and elongated torsos with no necks kind of like a mummy but with  arms, legs and feet decorated with stripes and dots. The heads might have cat ears or horns. I did not see any weapons.
